About the Artist
Marina Pomare Kaplan, PhD was a wife, mother and patient advocate that passed away from metastatic breast cancer in January 2020. After retiring from a career in applied epidemiology, Marina re-discovered her love of painting. She worked primarily with acrylics and alcohol inks.
